Road Train Australia
10/2007 Anyone who crosses Australia from north to south will most likely do so on the Stuart Highway. This connects the cities of Darwin, Alice Springs and Port Augusta over a distance of 2800 kilometers. There are a few so-called roadhouses along this highway. Usually these are nothing more than a gas station and a motel. Here in Glendambo there is even a really chic Australian water pump with the typical wind turbine. Another nice thing to see is a road train. These are trucks that are up to 100m long and race through the Australian desert. You should definitely watch out for these monsters. There are no brakes, as the huge cow catcher in front of the radiator grille shows.
