05/2011 The color red is omnipresent in China. The typical red lanterns that hang in shops or from the ceiling, like here in the Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai, are particularly beautiful. The red lanterns are usually decorated with Chinese characters. Even if you can't read anything, they are still beautiful!
