Very large room
07/2016 Our room at Hotel Noir was on the fourth floor facing the street. With the double windows, the noise of the traffic in front of the house was hardly to be heard. The room is huge. After entering the room you are in a combination of entrance area with wardrobe and bathroom. Behind it is the sleeping area. You also have fast W-Lan in the room. The only thing that caused problems was the safe. The operating concept was new to me and so I had not noticed that one had to reset the previously programmed PIN before the first use. With one click the safe was locked and could only be opened with the general key of the front desk.
Breakfast room in the vaulted cellar
There is no restaurant at the Noir hotel in Prague. In the basement there is only a breakfast room. Although the basement vault is decorated nicely, it is not very cozy. The food is of standard quality but there it is everything you need for a continental breakfast.
Hotel near the city center with good Metro connection
Hotel Noir is located just outside the old town. The nearby metro stations Namesti Miru and Pavlova have very good connections to all the sights of the city. On foot you can walk in about 20 minutes to the dancing house on the Vltava. There are also several restaurants in the area. Right on the other side of the road there is a great vegetarian restaurant called Etnosvet. A reservation is recommended.
Conclusion: good value for money
Hotel Noir in Prague held what it promised before booking. The rooms are simple, but nicely decorated and very spacious. Breakfast was a little bit disapointing but okay for a snack before heading to the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Price and performance in this hotel is absolutely great!
