09/2020 The picture was taken from the gondola of the cable car at the Zugspitze and shows the mountain peak with the viewing platform and a gondola in the foreground. The Zugspitze cable car replaced the previous Eibsee cable car in December 2017. It is a cable car of records. Not only does it climb the highest altitude in the world, but it also has the longest route segment of 3.2km and only uses a single intermediate pillar.
