01/2020 We recently bought a new car and our car dealer said that in addition to his offer for the old car, we could also get one from wirkaufendeinauto.de. Maybe that would be even better. The website advertises right on the homepage that selling your own car is quick and easy. Making an appointment at one of the regional workshops that will evaluate the car is actually very quick and easy online. The appointment confirmation arrives promptly.

In the email they spoke of queries and that we had not been reached and asked for a call back. We called the number in the email twice. Each time we only end up with a voice computer that uses the keyboard menu to give us various tips about the appointment, how to get there and what we should urgently bring with us. The language menu does not offer the option of speaking to a person. We conclude that they may have wanted to remind us of the documents we needed to bring with us and that it may have just been an automated call.

Wirkaufendeinauto.de treats you so badly as a customer

On the agreed date we prepared our car as described in the email. Summer tires in the trunk. Personal items out of the car. Vehicle registration, registration, T v and HU inspection certificate packed - everything included. Then we arrive at the wirkaufendeinauto.de workshop. The friendly employee at the counter looks a little unsettled when we register with our names. She tells us that we don't have an appointment. We are surprised and ask why. She says we probably didn't confirm and add the appointment over the phone - that happens often.

I ask the employee to speak to the boss in Frankfurt by phone. Apparently he makes the appointments. The customer service manager who was also mentioned in the email is on the phone. He explains to me that I didn't confirm my appointment and that another customer is now taking the appointment. But I can still go to Mainz. I explain to him what I think of this suggestion (nothing), because we have an appointment confirmed that has not been canceled. None of the emails indicate that telephone confirmation is necessary. Despite heated discussions, no suitable solution was found. It's a shame that as a customer at wirkaufendeinauto.de you are treated so badly and don't receive clear communication. We kept the Saturday free and drove 20km there and back. Now we give the car to our car dealer. We won't let ourselves be taken for a ride again!
