The magnolia - a blooming beauty
Magnolias are a highlight every spring. Unfortunately, the magnolia only blooms for a very short time and its beauty does not last long.

Magnolia in spring
03/2012 What the rose is to flowers, the magnolia is to trees - the queen of its kind. In spring, when the first warm days arrive, the magnolias bloom and transform the surroundings into a small paradise. After 14 days, the lavish flowering is usually over and the magnolias drop their petals. The cold nights with frost, which can also occur in March and April when the magnolias are in bloom, are usually fatal for the tree. A single frost and the magnolia's flowering splendor is gone. This picture was taken with a 17-70mm macro lens from Sigma at 28mm. ISO 125, aperture 8 and an exposure time of 200/s.
