Auerbach Castle at sunset

Autumnal mountain road

10/2024 I've always wanted to take a photo like this of Auerbach Castle in autumn. I actually wanted to take a photo of the colorful hills on Bergstrasse. However, the sun disappeared under a blanket of clouds before the golden hour. For this photo, I timed it precisely for the few minutes in which the sun shone through the clouds before disappearing behind the horizon. In the foreground you can see Auerbach Castle, which stands on a mountain cone on Bergstrasse near Auerbach.
