08/2015 In the Rheingau there are a lot of castles around. Some are privately owned and not accessible. The situation is different in Oberwesel on Castle Schoenburg. In the nearly 1000 year old castle a castle hotel and Kolpinghaus are housed. The Castle hotel is located in the red painted part of the building. The hotel Schoenburg is cares about an authentic setting. Therefore all rooms, the restaurant and the fireplace room are largely equipped with old furniture. The little time travel starts from the check-in and continues for the whole stay. The beautiful castle is an awesome experience!
