Nature and castles in the Moselle valley

05/2020 We went hiking with friends on the Moselle in mid-May. We stayed at the Clemens winery in Ellenz-Poltersdorf. From there we went on various hikes and excursions over the three days. On the day of arrival we went to Eltz Castle in the Eltzbach Valley in the afternoon. The second day was followed by a hike in Cochem. From the city we went to the castle ruins of Winneburg and from there to the Reichsburg Cochem. On the last day we took a hike from the train station in Ediger-Eller to the summit cross of the Calmont. The descent to Bremm was exhausting, but the fantastic views of the Moselle loop and the small town of Bremm were worth seeing.
