Ehrenbreitstein Fortress with cable car

Cable car to the fortress grounds over the Rhine

08/2024 During our visit to Koblenz, we also took the cable car up to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. The gondola takes you comfortably from the city across the Rhine to the fortress. The cable car was inaugurated in 2011 for the Federal Garden Show. The Ehrenbreitstein Fortress has a long history that you can explore during a visit to the complex. From up here you definitely have a great view of Koblenz, the Deutsches Eck and the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle.
