08/2024 Stolzenfels Castle is located in the Middle Rhine Valley and belongs to Koblenz. The complex originally dates back to a 13th century Electorate of Trier customs castle that was destroyed in 1689. It was only expanded into a castle at the beginning of the 19th century by the Prussian Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm. Today it is considered a treasure from the Rhine Romantic period.
