06/2021 I took this photo on the beach on the Stokksnes Peninsula. The landscape almost looks like it's on another planet. The radar station is part of Iceland's airspace surveillance. The sand dunes at Stokksnes radar station are shaped by wind and weather and can reach heights of up to 20 metres.

The white sand, which looks like a lunar landscape, creates a breathtaking panorama that reveals a unique beauty, especially at sunset and sunrise.
