Steel monument

01/2021 The Skeidara Bridge Monument stands a few kilometers before Skaftafell National Park. They are the remains of a large, heavy steel bridge that was crushed by the water and ice masses of a suddenly melting glacier. This is what happened here last time in 1996 when an underground glacial lake broke through and found its way.
