Architectural highlight
05/2021 A particularly beautiful and modern building in Reykjavik is the Harpa Concert Hall. The photo shows the wooden bridge in front of the main entrance and the beautiful glass facade. The photo was taken in the evening, when the sun is behind the building over the water.
The Harpa Concert Hall is a modern building designed by Danish architectural firm Henning Larsen Architects in collaboration with Icelandic architects BatterÃið. It features several concert halls, meeting rooms, restaurants and bars, as well as a unique glass facade inspired by Icelandic basalt columns. The facade is a striking feature of the concert hall and offers spectacular views of the sea and surrounding countryside.
