05/2021 If you want to see something similar to Landmannalaugar in Iceland, I can recommend the Trölladyngja Canyon. This is right next to the Keilir volcanic cone on the Reykjanes Peninsula. With the car you get from the 1 on a gravel road to a small parking lot at the beginning of the canyon. We did not find any signposted paths. So a little caution is advised in order not to harm nature. The colorful variety of colors of the canyon and the mountains are impressive!
