Bridge between continents

06/2021 This bridge connects continents. In this case the Eurasian and American tectonic plates colliding here in Iceland. In principle, the fissure runs straight through the whole of Iceland and is the cause of the high level of volcanic activity on the island.

Here at the bridge, on the other hand, it is rather safe and you can take a relaxed walk across the bridge or in the crevice. The whole thing is more of a symbolic bridging between Europe and North America. More in the travel video see below.
