06/2021 Alpine glow is known, but a really glowing mountain full of lava is rather rare. We had the chance at the Fagradalsfjall volcano in Iceland. The volcano is near Grindavik and erupted in mid-March 2021. The photo shows the volcano after sunset shortly after a large eruption. The still glowing lava covers the entire rim of the crater.
