Small and cosy bedroom
06/2021 The bedroom is quite small and the double bed is about 140 metres wide. But the bed is very comfortable and the windows can be darkened well.
Beautiful and spacious kitchen with dining area
The kitchen is very spacious and everything you need is there. There was even some non-perishable food from previous guests, as well as enough spices and cleaning utensils. The fridge is also big. Just off the kitchen is the dining table, which is fine for two people to sit at. There are stools for more people, but you might have to push the table more into the room to have enough space. Basically, I would not recommend the cottage for more than two people.
Cottage in the middle of nature
The cottage is located in the middle of nature - here in the photo it can be seen on the front right. It is quite adventurous to find and the last bit you have to drive across the meadow, but the landlord sent us very good instructions with directions by email. The accommodation is close to Seljalandsfoss and you can drive further into the mountains from here if you have a 4x4 jeep. Before you go, you should note that there is no restaurant or shopping facilities nearby and it is best to bring your own food for cooking.
Beautiful living room with sofa bed
Before entering the cottage, and thus the living room, there is a porch. You can leave your jackets and shoes there and then go directly into the living room. There is a couch that can be used as a sofa bed. There are also some travel guides to browse through.
Conclusion: Cosy cottage in nature
We liked the accommodation very much and can absolutely recommend it. You are in the middle of nature and absolutely undisturbed. The cottage is perfect for two people and has modern furnishings. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom, as well as washing powder.
