Karersee in South Tyrol

Blue miracle

09/2020 The Karersee is located in the western Dolomites and is often referred to as the fairy tale lake. The water shimmers in different blue and greenish tones, almost surreal. It's just a shame that a few years ago a storm knocked down a large number of trees and parts of the mountain landscape around the lake looks pretty broken. Nevertheless, a visit to the mountain lake, which is around 1,500m above sea level, is worthwhile.
