Exciting and varied walking through Venice
03/2015 On our second day we crossed the Academy Bridge to Dorsoduro. In the small streets on the way from the bridge to the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute you will find a few small studios and artisans. The Peggy Guggenheim Museum is also located there. From the top of the district we walk on the side facing away from the city towards Squero di San Trovaso, a workshop for Venetian gondolas. From there we continue towards Chiesa Dei Carmini. On the way there you will find countless dreamy alleys and waterways. The Ai Sportivi restaurant is located on Campo Santa Margherita. The pizza there is a dream and the ambience is truly Italian! After dinner we continue towards the old school Scuola Grande di San Rocco. The building can be visited. Anyone interested in the highest Venetian interior architecture should not miss this opportunity. We continue past the Chiesa Rettoriale di S. Polo to the Rialto Bridge. There is a dense crowd for the best places on the parapet. We return to the main island of Venice (San Marco) and continue walking towards the hotel. A very nice day trip with many new impressions of Venice and its districts Dorsoduro and San Polo.
