Spacious, quiet and with Venetian charm
04/2015 The rooms at Hotel Kette is adequate in terms of size and clean. It is particularly noted for the Venetian charm of the establishment. The situation back to a small canal is optimal, as very quiet. The bathroom is very spacious with a bath, large sink and lots of counter space. A safety deposit box and a large wardrobe are available, but unfortunately no refrigerator.
Small breakfast room - typically Italian
There is no restaurant in the hotel, just a small breakfast room. It is very useful and typically Italian furnishings: One has the impression to sit in an ice cream parlor. In the middle of the room, the breakfast buffet is set up. There is a bit more choice than in typical Italian breakfast but no hot food. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel you will find many small restaurants, but they are somewhat adjusted in a simple tourist fare. You should take a few steps and visit one of the cozy places on the other side of the Grand Canal in Dorsoduro for dinner. Already on the way there you will find nice little Italian restaurants.
Central and peaceful location in San Marco
With its central location the hotel can chain points. It is very quiet and located not far from St. Mark's Square in a small alley. It has the advantage that you can not only reach the hotel by boat, but also on foot. In addition, there are not too many tourists passing the hotel as it is located in a parallel street of the shopping street Via XXII Marzo. All attractions are in easy walking distance and also the jetty to / from the airport is not far.
Centrally located hotel, but not four-star value
The charming rooms are nice and clean. However, this is not enough to explain why it is a four-star hotel. This categorization is too exaggerated. But by comparing to other Venerian hotels the price-performance ratio is right. Only for breakfast and the wireless LAN service the hotel doesn´t get full points. Except in a small little room next to the lobby there is no wireless LAN within the hotel. For a short stay the hotel is certainly okay, but it´s not the best address in Venice.
