Temple in Candlelight

03/2023 The Treasury, also known as Al-Khazneh, is the most famous temple in Petra. A real highlight is the Petra by Night event. This takes place three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday). Tickets must be purchased in advance at the ticket office at the main entrance. The number of visitors is limited, so it is advisable to be at the counter in good time. Tickets are only sold on the same day from around 11:00 a.m. and not before.

The atmosphere in front of the Treasury in the candlelight is very beautiful and impressive. During the event, Arabic music is played live on typical instruments. The temple is illuminated in different colors. The photo shows the temple before the rush of visitors.
