03/2023 The landscape at Wadi Musa is rocky. Erosion has made the rocks mostly round and rather smooth. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Petra is located here in the mountains in Jordan. Anyone who wants to go to the valley of Petra from Wadi Musa must first walk two kilometers from the main entrance through the desert and then through a narrow gorge. One evening we watched the sunset at the lookout point along the road from Wadi Musa to Uum Sayhoun.
