03/2023 The climb to the High Place of Sacrifice is strenuous, especially when the sun is burning down from the sky. There is hardly any shade to be found during the hike. But the view from above of the impressive mountain landscape makes up for the exertions. The picture shows the view towards the royal tombs of Petra. These are lined up along the valley of Petra, which tourists mainly walk along.
