Visit to the Garden Temple of Petra

Small, fine temple

03/2023 If you spend a little more time in Petra, I can only recommend a hike on the Wadi Farasa Trail to the High Place of Sacrifice. A highlight on the way is the Garden Temple. The house probably once had another floor. The two cisterns next to and in front of the house are still visible today. One of the cisterns is the large hole in front of the entrance. The hole was once covered by stone slabs. The three arched camps are still visible on both sides of the cistern. The house was even still used in the Middle Ages. During excavations, researchers found evidence of crusaders in the form of a gravestone with corresponding inscriptions.
