Mellieha with beautiful fireworks

01/2023 In Malta politicians decided this year to move the big fireworks display from the capital in Valletta to the small town of Mellieha in the north of Malta. Luckily we noticed this in time and were able to reschedule our New Year's Eve. We looked for a nice place with a view of the skyline with the parish church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Mellieha and enjoyed the spectacle with a few other tourists. Most people watched the fireworks from a seat by the church.
