View into the Rotunda of Mosta

Huge domed church

12/2022 The Rotunda of Mosta is a building well worth seeing. The church also has a special story from World War II. On a night of bombing on April 9, 1942, many people sought refuge in the church. Suddenly a bomb pierced the huge dome and fell to the church floor. Fortunately for everyone present, the bomb did not explode and most people remained unharmed. The hole in the dome can still be seen today and the defused bomb is on display in a side room.
