It is an impressive baroque building that was built in the 16th century by the Knights of the Order of Malta. Simple on the outside, the interior surprises with opulent splendor: gilded walls, magnificent marble floors and numerous works of art. The cathedral was once the order's church and is now an important cultural heritage of Malta, fascinating visitors with its rich history and artistic design.
