Pyramid at Chichen Itza Mexico

03/2013 The name Chichen Itza is Yucatec Maya and means "at the edge of the well of the Itza". With the well underwater caves called Cenote are meant. The picture shows the Great Pyramid, or the designated as Castillo or castle. The pyramid is around thirty meters high and has according to scientific reconstructions stairs with 91 steps, depending on the four sides. Here in Chichen Itza, there is next to the pyramid yet known ballgame Arena and the hall of thousand pillars.
