05/2013 On our tour of Mexico we also visited Uxmal. In Uxmal there are extensive excavations of temples and a large pyramid. Today Uxmal is one of the most visited Mayan ruins and offers an excellent insight into the original appearance of the city thanks to advanced restoration of buildings. Unfortunately, entering the high Adivino pyramid at the entrance to the site is not permitted. However, you can get a beautiful view of the Mayan city from a plateau.
