11/2015 Taroudant is about 1.5 to 2 hours from Agadir inland. On the way there you will mainly see argan plantations, an important raw material for cosmetic products.

In Taroudant we check into our hotel, the Dar El Hana. A small, chic hotel near the old town. In the inner courtyard, which is called a riad here, there is even a small pool. A really great hotel!

We start a three-hour city tour with an official tour guide. We didn't expect to be on the road for so long. We start at a tannery, walk through narrow streets in different parts of the city, visit the old town and the adjacent Hotel Palais Salam, pass the city wall and end at the men's square. It isn't really called that, but this is where the men meet in the tea restaurants around it and enjoy the afternoon.
