Beautiful Arabic palaces and mosques

03/2019 At the end of our Oman trip we also spent a few days in the capital Muscat. Our first highlight of Muscat was the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Its size, but also the elaborate decorations and huge chandeliers are impressive.

Our second highlight is the Al Alam Palace, a representative sultan's palace in the east of the city. Passing Riyam Park, with its monument to the 20th National Day, an oversized censer, we are on to Mutrah.

In the Mutrah Souq you can experience a typical Arabic market and discover colorful clothes and great spices. At sunset we are at the Mutrah Fort. From the top you have a very nice view of the city and the harbor, especially at sunset.
