Hot springs at Lagoa das Furnas

12/2018 The hot springs at Lagoa das Furnas are a well-known tourist attraction. Lunch is cooked here by the locals in the heat of the hot sulfur springs, especially for tour groups. Buses often come in the morning to see the pot of food being lowered into the ground. At midday, the buses come back after their trips and then the pot and the finished meal are dug up and eaten again.
