Look into the crater
06/2022 The Miradouro do Cerrado das Freiras viewpoint is located in the west of Sao Miguel in the Azores. Here you have a very beautiful view of the crater lake Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul. The slightly different colors of the water to the left and right of the bridge are difficult to see because of the cloudy sky.
Why the crater lake at Sete Cidades has two different colors, there is a legend about a princess, a shepherd, a lost love, a forced marriage and many tears in green and blue.
