11/2022 Dragon trees grow very slowly. So when you see such a large dragon tree, you are looking back hundreds of years. This large dragon tree is near Las Tricias in the northeast of La Palma, where the climate seems to be ideal for dragon trees. The picture shows the treetop from below. The thick, round branches grow upwards in branched units. The typical green leaves only grow on the outside of the branch ends.
