Barranco de Masca

Steep footpath to the sea

03/2022 The hiking trail in the Masca Gorge (Barranco de Masca) is one of the most famous in Tenerife. That's why you have to book access in advance. At least that was the case in 2022. The cost of a ticket was 16 euros per person. Unfortunately we didn't get a ticket for the time of our vacation.

If you want to hike there, you have to be in a certain physical condition and have appropriate clothing and supplies. Those who wish can be picked up at the bottom by boat and shuttle service, everyone else has to hike back up the gorge. The total duration is approx. 7 hours (3 hours down, 4 hours up).
