Good all-inclusive hotel on the party beach Playa de en Bossa in Ibiza. Only the aircraft noise spoils the relaxation by the pool.

Nice rooms with balcony
06/2016 Our room at the Hotel Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza is located in the middle part of the complex in the building 3000 between the two pools and is very quiet. From the balcony on the second floor we have a nice view of the sports pool and the main building. The room has a good size and enough space for the luggage. A whirlpool in the bathroom, a TV, radio with Bluetooth, large safe and an iron plus board complete the equipment. In the fridge you find two small bottles of water per day. A few more drinks except water in the room would have been appropriate in an all inclusive hotel. There is plenty of light both in the bathroom and on the bed. Only a little more sockets on both sides of the bed would have been good. Too bad that the sockets turn off when you pull the room card from the reader. Unfortunately, the card reader only accepts the room card - bad if you want to load the phone during dinner.
Good All-Inclusive-Food
At the Hotel Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza you have the choice between two buffet restaurants. You have to decide, whether you want to eat well or sit nicely. The restaurant of the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza is rather sober and looks like a canteen, but has a lot more variety with the food. The restaurant in the Grand Palladium White Island Ibiza (neighbor hotel, which you can use) is culinary inferior, but offers a nicer atmosphere. There you can also have breakfast directly at the pool outside.
In addition, there are three a la carte restaurants where you can book one day in advance (if you are fast enough). There is an Italian, a Mexican and a Spanish restaurant with sea views. In the Spanish restaurant you can also have lunch (see photo). Unfortunately, there is no other food in the a la carte restaurants, as in the buffet restaurants, you just get the service at the table.
Hotel directly located at Playa d en Bossa
The hotel is located directly on the beach Playa d en Bossa. It is the hotel at the end of the beach. If you walk towards the city center, you pass the Hard Rock Hotel, the Ushuaia and all the other beach clubs on the south side of Ibiza. Thus, the Grand Palladium Palace is a good starting point to the party mile and is still a little quieter. From the airport you drive only a few minutes. That is also the biggest disadvantage of the hotel. If you are looking for absolute peace, you are wrong at this hotel. Approximately 5 to 10 aircraft take off each hour and fly over the hotel. If you are looking for peace, you should book a hotel in Eularia on the south-east side of the island. The music of the beach clubs can be heard from afar, which makes even the aircraft noise disappear. But it is quiet in the hotel area itself.
There are plenty of attractions. We had a rental car and were very flexible. In front of the hotel also goes a bus to Ibiza town. The Old Town of Ibiza Town is a worthwhile destination. If you have a rental car, you should also visit one of the beautiful bays on the island.
Cold pools and expensive Spa
The Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza has a large square pool in front of the main building and an oval pool between the blocks of flats. It is a pity that both pools are not heated and quite cold. The water is warmer in the spa area. However, the hotel charges € 20 per person per day for entry. If you book one of the higher-priced applications for at least 50 minutes, you can use the spa area for at least 90 minutes at no extra charge. For the fact that the hotel advertises with its spa area in all booking catalogs and then again on the spot, this is really very disappointing and the price far to high. No wonder, that the beautiful spa area is almost empty every day.
There is also a gym. The devices are rather manageable. Only treadmills and bicycles are available multiple times. These are mostly overlooking a wall. Too bad, because you could have made much more out of it. Another fitness offer is e.g. Pilates at the main pool, although offered by the entertainment, but very well done and professional.
Conclusion: pros and cons
The Grand Palladium Hotel Ibiza is a good hotel with comfortable beds, nice rooms and good restaurants. Of great disadvantage is the direct location at the airport with the resulting aircraft noise. Good, however, is the Wi-Fi availability on the entire site. Unfortunately, you often have problems with the Internet connection (long loading times) despite good reception. Surprisingly good were the evening shows of the hotel crew. The music was great and the boys and girls on the stage made a big party, like at the Michael Jackson Show (see picture). So if you are looking for the proximity to the clubs and still want a little peace, the hotel is ideal for you.
