Although La Palma is a small Canary Island, but it has many idyllic and worth seeing highlights to offer.

Santa Cruz de la Palma
03/2018 Our ship layed in the port of Santa Cruz de la Palma. Downtown Santa Cruz de La Palma has beautiful sights and a large pedestrian street with old houses and small squares. A special highlight are the balconies on the waterfront promenade.
Mirador de San Bartolo
On our rental car tour across the island, the first stop was the Mirador de San Bartolo. The view is very beautiful and also the sculpture erected there, a shepherd jumper, offers amusing opportunities for a photo.
Waterfall Los Tilos
The way to the waterfall Los Tilos is at least as beautiful and exciting as the waterfall itself. You have to go through a narrow tunnel where the water rushes somewhere in the rock. After the tunnel you enter a green valley, where the waterfall falls like a white curtain from above - a small oasis.
mountain village Las Nieves
The small mountain village Las Nieves is said to have less than 20 inhabitants. It is really tiny, but the pilgrimage church and the square in front of it are absolutely worth seeing. In the sanctuary is a figure of the "Virgen de las Nieves", the patron saint of the island. Legend has it that the volcano Tigalate rumbled in 1646, but calmed down because the maiden had it snowing.
caldera in the Taburiente National Park
A hike along the caldera in the Taburiente National Park offers beautiful views of the interior of the former volcanic crater. We went to the viewpoint Cumbrecita on a three-kilometer circular trail - very idyllic.
