08/2011 The Palkhor Monastery is located in Gyantse and is known for its 30-meter-high stupa. This can be climbed like a watchtower and is decorated inside and out with Buddha figures. From the monastery's stupa you have a great view of the Palkhor Monastery itself, Gyantse and the mountains of Tibet.
