Nice room almost without defects
03/2015 Actually, my wife ordered a room with two beds next to each other. Unfortunately, either the hotel or the organizer made any mistake with the booking. In any case, there was no free room of this category on arrival, only with separate single beds. As an alternative, we took this room (512) on the fifth floor of the building.
The room at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan is large and spacious. We had a balcony with view to the land side. Here you can see the construction site of the new Presidential Palace and the Emirates Palace Hotel. In the room there are two free bottles of water, which are replenished daily. Iron, mini bar and a large safe are also available. After the first night in the hotel I was especially impressed by the super comfortable bed.
The bathroom is also great. The lighting is good, also for shaving. The shower is very large and has a nice rain shower head.
Actually, the room is almost perfect, but there are some little defects. The LED reading lights on the bed were broken and the additional lamps could not be switched on separately at the bed. In addition, some sockets were broken: Especially the only outlet with European plug in the bathroom did not work. Also bad is the soundproofing. Through the windows you could hear the works at the construction site.
Moderate breakfast and expensive restaurants
Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Hotel Abu Dhabi has several restaurants. We mainly used the breakfast restaurant. The restaurant is located halfway in the courtyard of the hotel and has additional rooms to the pool area. For a five star hotel the choice is very ordinary. Only good and adequate is the chef at the live cooking station, who conjures delicious omelets.
We also used the snack bar by the pool. Sandwiches, wraps or salads can be ordered at the mooring. Our meals were usually at about 50 DHS per person (about 10 euros). Not cheap but tasty. Recommended is the Kamoon Club Sandwich and the Rasperry Ice Tea. There is no alcohol available in the hotel.
Once we also ate on the terrace of the Kamoon restaurant. That was delicious, but also expensive. A main course is available from about 25 euros. It is therefore recommended to buy the Entertainer App. With this app you have 2 to 1 vouchers in many restaurants, hotels and tourist attractions in Abu Dhabi; Among other things, in the Kamoon restaurant of the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Hotel.
32/5000 Nice location at the end of the Corniche
The Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Hotel is in close proximity to the Etihad Towers, the Emirates Palace and the new Presidential Palace. The hotel is one of the few beach hotels in Abu Dhabi. The hotel has a small private beach area and a nice large pool area. Moorings are plentiful, except on weekends, when many local day visitors are in the hotel. The pool was 29 degrees, the sea in March 22 degrees.
Great pool area and large fitness area
The reason we chose the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Hotel in Abu Dhabi was the beautiful pool. The impression from the catalog did not deceive.
Also very generous was the gym. Basically, this room was almost as big as my whole gym here in Germany. The selection and the condition of the equipment was very good and exceeded my expectations. Courses such as yoga or coach lessons were also offered.
Nice holiday hotel in Abu Dhabi
The Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Hotel in Abu Dhabi left nothing to be desired. The staff was always friendly. The room was clean and without major flaws. The food in the restaurants was good, but not cheap. Also for a beach holiday the hotel offers everything. We loved it and would go back to the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Hotel again.
