You can describe the hotel Kayenta Monument Valley Inn as a pearl in the middle of the desert. It was one of the better hotels in its class on our roundtrip.

Hotel room, clean with good facilities
08/2014 The hotel room is very tastefully designed. Overall the whole area makes a very good and clean impression. The room is quite modern and the stone walls and ceiling beams make it very comfortable. We especially liked that we had a private terrace with (almost) direct access to the pool and could sit outside. Also the bathroom is spacious, bright and clean.
Restaurant, very tasty
The restaurant also surprised us in a very positive way. Although there is no alcohol served, since the hotel is in an Indian reserve, but that is no minus, as they have a very good selection of drinks. The restaurant is decorated in modern Indian style and also has regional specialties on the menu. I decided to go for Indian fancy bread (was not quite my taste) with very delicious beef and salad. The service was very friendly and fast. Also at the breakfast everything went well. There was no buffet, but the offer of the menu is sufficient and everyone finds something. Also the pricing was absolutely adequate. By the way: In addition to the restaurant, there is also a souvenir shop, which offers particularly beautiful and inexpensive jewelery.
Location of the hotel, central and easily to reach
The location is ideal as a starting point for Monument Valley. Otherwise Kayenta is really a small nest and far from the shot. Although the motel is located on the main thoroughfare of the village, it was relatively quiet, since the rooms are all further back.

The Kayenta Monument Valley Inn is definitely recommendable for an overnight stay close to the Monument Valley - and the value for money is also true. I can say: Thumbs up!
