05/2011 Often, photography is forbidden in Chinese temples. Here in the Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai, you were at least allowed to photograph the large golden Buddha statue in the prayer hall. The Buddha statue is about four meters high and stands between many red ribbons hanging from the ceiling.
