01/2017 On the seafront promenade in Nice, one of the most striking buildings is the Hotel Negresco, named after its Romanian builder Henri Negresco. The luxury hotel opened its doors in 1912 and was immediately a popular meeting place for the international moneyed nobility and royal users. The building has been owned by the Augier family since 1957 and has been recognized as a protected architectural monument since 2003.
