Replica of a zeppelins in original scale
04/2016 When you enter the zeppelin museum for the first time, you probably will not notice the biggest attraction at the first moment, but more about this later on. After the exciting film about the history of the airship you first arrive in a hall with showcases full of exciting stories and old documents such as an info booklet that passengers were given before departure to prepare for the flight or a size comparison showing how tiny a modern Airbus A380 is in relation to the largest Zeppelin of all time, the LZ 129 (Hindenburg). The real journey into the story, however, begins at a small inconspicuous staircase that leads to the upper floor.

In the heart of a zeppelin
The stairs leads to a replica of a part of the Zeppelins LZ 129 in original size. And that would be the attraction mentioned above. In narrow corridors you can discover the original recreated bedrooms, lounges and the restaurant. Especially in the lounge you can look down through the sloping glass windows and imagine what that would be like, if you were now a thousand feet above the ground and would hover silently through the air - fantastic!
