10/2021 After difficult times for the spa town of Bad Bruckenau due to the French Revolutionary Wars, the area fell to Bavaria in 1816. In 1818, King Ludwig I discovered his love for the pool and the complex began to flourish. The ruler is said to have stayed there a total of 26 times between 1818 and 1826. His memorial, as can be seen in the photo, now stands in front of the Kursaal, opposite the Dorint Hotel. More about the park in my travel video, see link below.
