Rumpenheim Castle

07/2012 Rumpenheim Castle is a small former manor house on the Main in Rumpenheim (near Offenbach). The three-winged building with a long history is located in an idyllic park. There is a ferry across the Main nearby. In 1973, the building was damaged by fire and almost demolished. High-rise housing projects were planned on the site. A citizens' initiative prevented anything worse from happening. The building has been restored since 2002 and houses high-quality condominiums.
