Acropolis of Thessaloniki

09/2021 If you want to go to the Acropolis of Thessaloniki, you should do it in the morning and not in the midday heat like we did. The Acropolis is located on a mountain above downtown Thessaloniki. On the Acropolis stands a Byzantine fortress, the Heptapyrgion. Below the parking lot is a great cafe (Cafe Aithrio at Yedikule) which I highly recommend. More in our travel video, see link below.
