09/2021 Metamorphosis Monastery is perched high on the mountains of Meteora. The rope of the freight cable car can be seen clearly in the picture. The monastery itself can be reached via steep stairs. So it lies protected on one of the rocky pillars of the mountains in Meteora, near Kalambaka.
