The best hiking trails near Merano in South Tyrol

09/2020 In Merano in South Tyrol we have combined three hiking trails into one day trip. We started with the Tappeinerweg directly above the city center of Merano. Then we went on with the Algunder Waalweg, a beautiful hiking trail along a water canal. In the end, a chair lift and a basket lift took us up to the Leiter Alm. This is where the Meraner Höhenweg, a path with impressive views, begins. Finally, the Hochmuth cable car took us back to Dorf Tirol and walked to the hotel. An exhausting but very nice day - but see for yourself!
