Gate in Shobak Castle

Entrance gate to the interior of the castle

03/2023 The fortress of Shobak Castle is very large and spacious. This gate is located in the southern part. The sun was just right for a beautiful photo with the sun star in the archway. Shobak Castle, also called Montreal, dates back to 1115 and was a guard post for a trade route from Jerusalem to Aqaba.
